As Women's History Month continues, so do we continue to highlight the women who bring Star Wars to life- whether it's a character in the galaxy far, far away or a woman behind the scenes. Today we're celebrating the late costume designer Shawna Trpcic for all of her incredible work.

Shawna's work on Star Wars began with The Mandalorian season 2. Her passion for the costumes and styling in Star Wars made her work outstanding, as she became a one-woman archive of Star Wars knowledge, constantly researching how the films' costumes came to life- how they were made, the philosophy of the designers, George Lucas' visions for the series and more.

Shawna's trove of knowledge, her passion for costume design and her own creativity made her an incredibly valuable part of the team behind not just The Mandalorian, but The Book of Boba Fett and Ahsoka as well. She faced a variety of challenges on the work- whether it was overlapping productions, trying to authentically bring animated characters to live action, and evolving costumes over time to tell a story.
Shawna's work really defines the Star Wars we know and love today, and while she continues to be dearly missed, her legacy lives on through the designs she's brought to life.
