In last week's What We Love, I wrote about 5 things I love about Attack of the Clones. This week, we're moving on to the next one- Revenge of the Sith!
1. Battle over Coruscant/Palpatine's Rescue
I love the opening scene of Revenge of the Sith- it might be one of my favorites of all the Star Wars movies. It drops you right into the action with a really cool space battle running into a really cool lightsaber fight and it's just all around super awesome.
2. Obi-Wan vs Grievous
All of the battle of Utapau is pretty cool, but I really like Obi-Wan and Grievous' duel. Obi-Wan has to fight a little more unconventionally than we're used to him fighting, but it looks super awesome and is a fittingly badass end for General Grievous.
3. Palpatine vs the Jedi
This movie is just a string of like, the coolest lightsaber fights ever, and this one is definitely up there. While it ends up being mostly Palpatine vs Mace Windu as the other Jedi are... dispatched... pretty quickly, it's really cool to watch two powerful characters fight against each other- not to mention how it's really the turning point for the galaxy once Anakin turns up. Also, we always love to see Mace's purple lightsaber, don't we?
4. Yoda vs Palpatine
Another super, super cool lightsaber fight is Yoda vs Palpatine in the Senate chambers. It's a little over the top in the very best possible, and so much fun to watch little Yoda jump around and Palpatine shoot lightning over his hands. Plus, it's even kind of hilarious at times (like Yoda Force-pushing Palpatine over his chair? Classic!)
5. Mustafar Fight
Finally, the best lightsaber fight in the movie- Obi-Wan vs Anakin on Mustafar! It's so, so cool to watch them fight among all the lava, not to mention how emotional it is and how dynamic the fighting is as they jump around. It's such a great climax to the movie, and I love watching it every single time.
